Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse opportunity)
Start Date: March 23, 2026
End Date: June 22, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required (night shift nursing)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Charting System: Epic (experience with Epic required)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460-$1540/week
Job Requirements
Active OK or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nurse)
Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse)
Current BLS & ACLS certifications (required at time of submission)
NIHSS certification preferred
Experience with Epic electronic charting system required
Ability to float to similar Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed
Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, wound care, IV management, and post-procedure care
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit (medical-surgical care)
Monitor, assess, and accurately document patient conditions using Epic
Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed
Provide care for patients with chest tubes, surgical drains, and feeding tubes
Respond to rapid response and code situations as part of the interdisciplinary team
Float to similar units (Med/Surg or Telemetry) within scope of practice
Collaborate with IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
Participate in minor on-unit procedures and post-procedure nursing care
